Paul J. Theut has been practicing law in Arizona since 1988, with a practice focused on Probate, Guardianship, Conservatorship, Estate and Trust Litigation, Severe Bodily Injury and Wrongful Death, and Guardian Ad Litem Matters. His Probate, Guardianship, and Conservatorship practice frequently extends into related fields such as marriage dissolution, criminal, mental health, elder abuse, and the serious bodily injury of minors. Paul is one of the most experienced Guardian Ad Litems in the State of Arizona when it comes to severe bodily injury or wrongful death of minors or the incapacitated.

Over his career, Theut has resolved hundreds of personal injury cases, been party to thousands of guardianship and conservatorship matters, and served as guardian ad litem for numerous incapacitated, injured, and minor clients in the Scottsdale and Greater Phoenix area. He has given seminars and participated on panels regarding the representation of the incapacitated and vulnerable and has prepared a mandated curriculum for Arizona attorneys representing protected persons.

Paul has been a sustaining member of the Arizona Association for Justice for over 30 years. In 2018, the Probate and Trust Section of the State Bar of Arizona recognized him with the Eleanor Ter Horst Distinguished Service Award, which honors attorneys demonstrating superior knowledge and a willingness to share their expertise in probate and trust law.
